Swimming Wetsuits for Women

6 Tips to Find Your Perfect Swimsuit for Swimming

Fit is personal, find yours. Use the Face the Water size finder and size guide to size across brands and designs. Work out what you like. Do you like the cheeky bum cut or prefer full coverage, what back strap style do you like? Are you comfortable in thin straps.

What's the use case? What do you plan to do? A quick swim at the beach, an occasional pool swim, a long distance ocean swim, a run swim or weekly squad sessions. If it’s for a long distance ocean swim, comfort is key. If its a lot of chlorine activity then chlorine resistance is a priority.

Material matters. Some fabrics have less stretch than others and will fit tighter. A tighter fit is better for swim performance but you have to feel comfortable too. Consider your personal preference.

Ability to adjust. This could be right for you if you need more support in the bust or are longer or shorter bodied and find regular sizing tricky. Adjustability gives you the option tighten straps and the flexibility to tighten when needed, maybe as the fabric gives, as your activity needs or body changes.

Keep your girls secure. If you have a fuller chest, thicker shoulder straps provide the best support. A shelf lining in the bust area can help too. Check out the Face the Water “Extra Support” collection to make shopping for this need easier.

Looks aren’t everything but looking good is a given. Find the cut that you prefer and then have fun with your performance swimwear. Do you want to blend into the background with a solid classic, stay sophisticated with a well cut black number or stand out from the crowd with a funky print.
