Emma Quigley
I've always felt most at home near the water. The ocean has been my sanctuary – a place where I feel strong, free and connected, especially alongside other women who share a love of swimming.
When I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and given a 25% chance of survival, it was the ocean and the incredible community around it that carried me through. It gave me strength, peace and hope when I needed it most.
After recovering, I wanted to create something meaningful. Face the Water was born from a simple idea: helping women find swimwear that truly fits, while creating a community for women who find peace, health, challenge and joy in the water.

Like Emma Q, I've always been drawn to the water. While swimming has been a lifelong passion, I also love rowing, boating and simply spending time by the ocean. Being near the water makes me feel grounded, calm and connected.
You'll often find me at Wylies Baths in Coogee or Valla Beach on the NSW Mid North Coast – two places that perfectly capture everything I love about the ocean.
Joining Face the Water felt like coming home. I believe in the power of the water to support both body and mind, and I'm passionate about helping more women embrace an active outdoor lifestyle and find confidence in the water.
Together, we're building more than a swimwear store. We're creating a community for women who love the water in all its forms.
