Vitalis OpenWater Hi-Vis
The Openwater Vitalis Hi-Vis is specifically designed for swimming and training in open water safely and with maximum visibility, thanks to its orange panels which stand out in contrast to the color of the sea. It also provides the thermal comfort needed to maintain an ideal body temperature without sacrificing movement.
ELASTICITY
The elasticity of a wetsuit allows you to enjoy swimming with total freedom. Different materials are used depending on the area.
YAMAMOTO 44+
This is the most elastic material of the Orca range. Stretching this neoprene requires 90% less force than for a conventional neoprene.
YAMAMOTO 40+
Yamamoto 40 technology is the best neoprene on the market, not exclusive to Orca. Stretching this neoprene requires 72% less force than conventional neoprene.
Thermal insulation
The thermal insulation provided by a wetsuit allows its wearer to withstand cold temperatures for longer.
THERMAL X LINING
This high-performance inner lining retains heat more efficiently than other conventional inner fabrics. It is also comfortable and soft to the touch.
POWER FIT
The X compressive liner provides a perfect fit and ensures that no water flows through the wetsuit while swimming in open water, helping to maintain body temperature.
BATWING
The “Batwing” construction consists of a second layer of neoprene that prevents water from seeping through the zipper and coming into direct contact with the body, keeping a layer of warm water inside. It also guarantees a very snug fit in the neck, reducing friction and water entry from the neck area into the suit.
Buoyancy
Buoyancy helps the swimmer save energy and correct technical errors. The buoyancy of each panel is adjusted to create the perfect wetsuit for each type of swimmer.
EXO-LIFT
Exo-lift technology has a sandwich-like construction that consists of a neoprene layer, Aerodome technology and a third inner layer which has been specially treated. This last layer of neoprene guarantees 0% water absorption, so the buoyancy of this material does not vary throughout the exercise.
AERODOME
Aerodome consists of small air cavities located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene, which provides increased buoyancy. Unlike Exo-lift, the inner layer of this material is composed of a high-quality lining that gives the neoprene more elasticity. With only 3% water absorption, its buoyancy does not decrease during exercise.
Hydrodynamics
Surface treatments such as SCS and Nano Ice SCS reduce the wetsuit’s water resistance, increasing speed.
44+ & 40+
The high-end constructions of 44+ and 40+ feature Nano Ice SCS treatment, that favors the hydrodynamics to suit more demanding swimmers, reducing water resistance by 68%.
39+ & 38+
The rest of the wetsuits in the Orca triathlon range feature this treatment to guarantee performance, which reduces water resistance by 60%.
Technique correction
30 years of experience in the market have helped us to optimize new technologies that help improve technique.
FEEL THE WATER (FTW)
This technology allows you to feel the water with each stroke, improving water entry. This improves the first phase of the swim stroke, especially in open water when the sea is not calm.
HIGH ELBOW PANEL (HEP)
This technology helps to keep the elbow elevated before the grip phase, improving stroke technique and providing a small amount of support to improve stability.
CORE LATERAL STABILIZER (CLS)
This system provides extra support in the core area to avoid excess rotation and to improve stability and efficiency in each stroke.
HYDROLITE
Hydrolite technology helps the wetsuit come off more easily, making transitions even faster.
Comfort
ULTIMATE SEAL COLLAR (USC)
To avoid any type of abrasion, all our wetsuits have been optimized with a material that combines laser cutting, specialized lining and inverted Velcro.
YKK 8
YKK 8 Flexible materials make it possible to use the YKK 8 zipper, which is smaller than what is used in most wetsuits, to improve elasticity and reduce water resistance while swimming.
YKK 10
The YKK 10 zipper is a strong zipper with guaranteed quality. With the YKK seal it is more durable and sturdier than others on the market.
YKK R
The YKK Reverse zipper prevents the wetsuit from opening during the race. Its length and size are smaller than in the rest of our wetsuits, so its restriction is minimal, improving flexibility.
V FIT
Our women’s products are not just an adjustment of fit from men’s wetsuits. They feature a pattern developed exclusively by our athletes to provide maximum performance.ELASTICITY

Orca women’s products are not just an adjustment of fit from men’s wetsuits. They feature a pattern developed exclusively by our athletes to provide maximum performance.
High elasticity materials, create more flexible wetsuits that adapt better to the swimmer’s body than those with less elasticity. Elasticity in the shoulders is essential for efficient swimming without restrictions.
If you’re choosing a wetsuit with less flexibility, you should select a size that fits well to your body. Follow these five points for your perfect fit;
- The suit should fit you snugly around the chest and neck to prevent water from entering and to keep your body at the right temperature.
- The crotch area should fit snugly but not too tightly. If it’s too loose, wrinkles will form that could cause you discomfort and greater resistance when swimming.
- The length of the arms and legs should be correct, ending at your wrists and ankles so as not to interfere with your swimming.
- There must be no gaps between your body and the wetsuit. The gaps let water in, creating extra resistance which will slow you down.

Face the Water Wetsuit Care Guide
At Face the Water, we want you to get the most out of your wetsuit. Proper care will help maintain flexibility, insulation, and durability over time. Follow these essential care tips to keep your wetsuit in top condition.
1. Rinse After Every Use
After each use, rinse your wetsuit thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, chlorine, sand, and other contaminants.
2. Use pH-Neutral Soap
When cleaning your wetsuit, use a small amount of pH-neutral soap to gently cleanse the neoprene.
3. Dry Properly
Turn your wetsuit inside out and hang it by the waist to dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources, as they can damage the material.
4. Store Correctly
Ensure Velcro closures are covered or fastened to prevent damage. Store your wetsuit in a cool, dry place, hanging it by the waist or on a wide hanger to avoid stress on the shoulders.
